Bergenia ‘Bach’

An Eric Smith selection from 1972 with oval to ovate, glossy, dark green leaves that are flushed red in winter. In spring, densely packed heads of cherubic pale pink flowers open from deep red calyces on short spikes. The flowers slowly age to white. An exceptional cultivar that is rarely available but is absolutely worth growing for its spring flowers.
