Bergenia ‘Brahms’
A selected clone from one of Eric Smith’s hybrids introduced by Jim Archibald in November 1975. It has some of the finest white flowers appearing in early spring that slowly fade to pink with age. Leathery, strap-like green leaves, reminiscent of B. stracheyi, form attractive clumps.
Unfortunately, no longer available in trade and very rarely seen in cultivation today, There is a rather poor specimen growing at RHS Wisley. This clone was received from Christopher Hallsworth.
