Bergenia ‘Bressingham Bountiful’
A rare cultivar bred by H.C. Pugsley and introduced by Adrian Bloom of Bressingham Gardens in 1972, according to Index Hortensis and Hardy Plant Society. It has thick, leathery, spoon-shaped, bright green leaves with prominent veins and a pink margin. Clusters of large, rose-pink flowers open on branching pink stems in spring. It offers some winter foliage but nothing exceptional. It can be occasionally damaged by frosts.
Not at all common in cultivation and, sadly, declining in trade.
