Bergenia ‘Clough’
Found growing in the mother beds at Kwekerij de Hessenhof in the Netherlands, this named variety has never appeared in literature or online before. There are no known records of it. Hans Kramer has no information on how he acquired it thus the name remains a mystery.
It has upright, rounded, ovate, dark green, leathery leaves with a pink fringed, slightly wavy margin. Forms a good sized clump as seen at de Hessenhof. Some winter colour. Flowers are yet to be observed.
