Bergenia cordifolia ‘Jelle’

An introduction from Heutinck nurseries in the Netherlands, named after the owner’s son Jelle. It has large, bright green, cordifolia-esque, leaves with an undulating margin that turn an attractive bronze-red in winter. Clusters of white flowers in pink-green calyces open atop pink-red branching stems held well above the foliage. A stand out cultivar, flowering for several weeks.
