Bergenia cordifolia ‘Undulata’
A rare B. cordifolia variety sold by Benita Branaburga of Stādaudzētava Ozoli who received the plant from the Latvian National Botanic Garden in 1998. Forming a tight rosette of rounded, leathery, dark green leaves, it has an unusual but distinctive wavy edge to the leaves. In spring, a dense cluster of pretty pink flowers open from apple green calyces.
Only found for sale in Latvia from Benita and her daughter Irisa. I am incredibly grateful to them both for sharing material with me to grow and study in Glasgow.
