Bergenia cyanea

An unresolved species not officially recognised in taxonomy but which has been in circulation in horticulture for many years. It may be a large-leaved form of Bergenia pacumbis. It has large, slightly wavy, dark green leaves and neat clusters of white flowers flushed a very pale pink. Semi-evergreen, with the foliage dying back in winter in colder climates.

Not available in trade in the UK but can be sourced from specialist growers upon request. Sourced from Hans Kramer’s De Hessenhof nursery in the Netherlands.
