Bergenia emeiensis Hybrid

An unusual hybrid from Cally Gardens in Scotland sold by Tim Fuller of The Plantsman’s Preference. It has very attractive, smooth, glossy, dark green, emeiensis-like leaves with a coarsely ciliate margin, reminiscent of B. stracheyi. In spring, the most exquisite white-pink flowers appear in dense clusters atop short, stout, pink-red stems. Very floriferous. In autumn, the leaves turn red-yellow.

A beautiful and robust plant which should be more widely grown.
