Bergenia ‘Kashmir’
A named variety discovered for sale from Atelier du Vegetal in France. It has good sized, round, leathery, dark green leaves with a coarsely ciliate wavy edged margin. Leaf surface is glabrous with hairless petioles. Slow growing and generally low growing with some yellow-red leaf colour in autumn. In spring, attractive white flowers blushed pink open atop short branching stems. Likely to be a selection of B. pacumbis.
Not currently available in the UK. Only available for sale in France. Not to be confused with B. 'Mrs Crawford' which was collected in Kashmir and named by Beth Chatto after a close friend.
