Bergenia pacumbis CC3616

A Chris Chadwell collection with large, leathery, bright green leaves that have a wavy edged margin, fringed with coarse hairs, turning yellow-red in the autumn. Leaf surface glabrous and glossy. In early spring, delicate white flowers, blushed soft pink, emerge from green calyces in a dense cluster atop branching green-red stems.

Seed is said to have been collected from Kailash in the Himalayas. Very rarely available but can be found from Beeches Nursery and Cotswold Garden Flowers.
