Bergenia ‘Pink Frostwork’

A unique cultivar that may have been introduced by Cotswold Garden Flowers. It has relatively small, low growing, elongated, oval leaves that emerge pink and cream when young, occasionally entirely cream, later becoming speckled before maturing to green. In late spring, white-pink flowers emerge on a short branching stem.

Very rare, and sadly not often seen, nowadays. It is no longer available from Cotswold Garden Flowers. Material was shared with Benita and Irisa Branaburga of Stādaudzētava Ozoli in Latvia in 2013. There are no other known stockists selling the plant at the moment. I am incredibly grateful to Benita and Irisa for sharing material to support my research.
