Bergenia ‘Silberlicht’

An old but classic garden variety introduced by G. Arends in Ronsdorf-Wuppertal, near Cologne, in 1950. Known for its highly attractive white flowers which slowly age to a soft pink, held in cheerfully bright pink calyces, in panicles well above the foliage. Strap-like, dark green leaves, with a strongly cuneate base, are reminiscent of B. stracheyi, forming neat clumps.
