Bergenia ‘Summer Mountain’
A highly attractive and vigorous variety with thick, leathery, dark green leaves that have a rough ciliate margin and deep veins with a strongly depressed mid-rib. Clump forming, it has a neat habit well suited to container growing. A much improved and robust form of B. stracheyi.
Unfortunately, there is very little information on this cultivar. It can be seen growing at RHS Wisley but there are no records online or in the literature. I would welcome any information on its origin.
